Steven Hernandez or better known by his stage name YK, Is a 20 year old Latin Rap/Hip-Hop artist.  YK was Born May 17th 1996, In Corpus Christi, Texas. He started Rapping when he was in the 3rd grade & grew up listening to such artist as, The Game , T.I,  Biggie and many others.  In  Nov. of 2011, YK recorded his first song "Reflections" at  "DaVille Records".  This song was YK's eye opening moment making him realize he will stop at nothing to chase his dream. He started up a Home Studio so he could record whenever he wanted or needed to. As a couple months passed YK started to make a name for him self in march of 2012. By creating a buzz through out his city, From Getting radio play on local radio station Hot Z95, To dropping 4 Mix - Tapes  between 2012 - 2013  "Last One Standing", "Time I$ Money" & "Life Of A King" and the 4th Mix - Tape "Money Love & Fame" which hit over 4K downloads in the first 2 hours, reaching  25K downloads and was also the #1 Mix-tape spot on TweetMySong.Com.  When it comes to networking YK has worked with many artist such as Adr0, Kavi Terry, Lil S, Young Vidal, Naudikah, D- Boy, Trai'D, Eye-Cee, Bullet and many more.  Between  2012 - 2016 on the performing side YK has toured Texas twice & has also toured out of state to Miami , Mississippi & L.A . He Has opened up and worked along side such artists as : Kevin Gates, Soulja Boy, Kirko Bangz, Baeza, New Boyz,  Dj Rapid Ric & many others. Over 4 years YK went from a kid with a dream  and a couple hundred views to a artist that has gained over 211,000 Song Plays on Soundcloud, 170,000 Song Plays & 150,000 Video Plays On Reverbnation, 14,700 Fan Likes on Facebook & over 26,000 Followers on Twitter! Now 20 years old YK has created and founded his own label "Dream City" & recently signed his first two Hip Hop artists Bullet & Miss Young to the label . YK is also working on his own clothing line Dream City Clothing which will be available early 2017. On the music side of things YK is working on 2 projects .  One being his mix tape "Late Nights In the City" dropping MAY 2017 and Second being  his long awaited album "Dream City" dropping winter  of 2017.
